Romans 8:28, NIV
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." God has called us to support the church through teaching and encouragement and to break the lies of the enemy by speaking His truth. Our desire is to see those that our Father connects us with grow closer to the Lord and learn more about His truth. In this calling, the support that He has shown us that we are to provide is similar to what Paul did in the New Testament. We will spend time in relationship with those who He connects us with. The time we spend will include communication via the internet and mail, communication via voice and video chat when needed, and when God leads us to, travel to meet face to face in order to build up and teach. We will write and share material that helps to teach and reveal the truth of who God is and how much He loves each of us. We will provide support by providing consistent prayer and intercession. We will provide support by providing guidance and recommendations in regards to both their lives and the ministry work that God has called them to as the Lord reveals His wisdom to us.
One role that we know God has not called us to is that of providing financial support. This does not mean that the Lord will never call us to support in this way but we know that this is not the true purpose of the ministry that He has called us to. With this we would ask that you pray and seek the Lord if it is His will for us to be connected. We believe that the Lord will connect us with specific people and groups according to His plan and as such we will also seek His guidance and His will. |
